He is the sweetest guy and makes delicious tamales. I’ve been going every morning and buying like 10! Highly recommended trying him out

Cannot recommend enough! One of the best tamales in the city for an insanely good price. The guy who runs it is so kind and generous. Support him! Good to note that he closes up when he runs out so good to get there before tenish.

Greenpoint Tamale guy is something of an instant legend. Seven days a week he's out selling the best tamales around. Three bucks a pop, always a smile and some great chat. Always sold out by 10am. Take my money!

Super delicious and cheap tamales. I like the cheese and pepper and the chicken mole flavors the most. The guy selling it is the nicest guy, and was willing to let me give him and IOU since he only takes cash. Can’t recommend him more.

The man running the cart is very kind to his customers! This was my first ever tamale, and he gave us another one for free (per his recommendation for red sauce). Great deal at $3 per tamale.

On a visit back to my old neighborhood (to grab some pistachio donuts from Moe’s Doughs and some Polish kielbasa), I spotted this little tamale cart on the corner of Manhattan and Nassau. Since we were about to be in the car for 5 hours, fresh tamales sounded like great road food, and we got one of each (cheese, mole, red, and green salsa). Wow, they were good—moist, flavorful, generously sized. So delicious, and we wished we had gotten more. The man who owns the cart is really friendly, and clearly a hard working person. If you see him out on the street, don’t miss the chance to grab some absolutely delicious food.

Ordered $18 worth of tamales but didn’t have cash. Tio says, no worries, I’m here every day, come back and settle when you can Tamales so good. The masa is PERFECT, not too dry. So flavorful they don’t need extra salsa or sour cream. Community needs to crowdfund a few days off for him, he deserves it!
